Katie qualified as a GP in 2013, completing her GP training in Glasgow after attending the University of Edinburgh Medical School.
 
She has worked extensively throughout Scotland, including covering rural practices within NHS Highlands, and has worked in Brussels serving patients from the EU commission and Parliament. She has a passion for understanding others cultures and experiences relating to all matters, including healthcare. She has a drive to learn, completing a diploma and scholarship in Paediatric and Child Health, diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and a diploma in Family Planning Sexual and Reproductive Health. Most recently her passion is Sleep Medicine, completing the Diploma in Sleep Medicine from the University of Oxford.

She recognises the importance of putting patients at ease during consultations, listening and responding to their requests.
