Duty holders are required to have arrangements in place to provide for an effective response in the event of an offshore emergency.
OEUK therefore recommends that ERT members tasked with physically strenuous activities undergo regular:

• Urine testing (to assess how well your kidneys/ body is working).

• Some Companies require an additional drug and/ or alcohol screen. Please make sure you understand what your Company requires.
In general, the ERT member should be free from any illness which might compromise their ability to discharge their ERT duties or which may be made worse by such duties. Pre-existing conditions such as respiratory disorders, heart disease, endocrine disease, neurological disorders, psychiatric disorders and incapacitating musculoskeletal disorders are unlikely to be compatible with ERT duties.
The ERT medical will last 45-60 minutes.

The examination frequency is every 2 years, but the aerobic testing is annual.
Yes, as long as the doctor can deem you fit, we will provide you with the ERT certificate at the end of your appointment to take away with you.
