We regret that we no longer undertake New Zealand Visa Medicals. These are now only undertaken by a few designated centers in the UK.
Why you might need it
You will generally need to have a medical examination if you're planning to live permanently in New Zealand.
You may need to have a health assessment if you're applying for a temporary visa. This is dependent on certain criteria including the type of visa you want, the amount of time you're planning to stay in New Zealand, your intended activities during your stay, and if you have 'significant' medical conditions.
The New Zealand Government has a list of approved physicians who can carry out the visa medical assessments.
The procedure
You may have a blood test as part of the exam and you may also be required to provide a urine sample. Additional blood or urine tests may be required, depending on your intended activities in New Zealand or if we detect abnormal findings during the exam. These tests will incur an extra fee.
